What program do you use? I use Paint Tool SAI to color, and Photoshop CS5 to adjust colors. Do you sketch digitally or traditionally? All of my digital art is sketched digitally. I tend to stick solely to the medium I start out with. Can I use your art? Do whatever you want with it for non-commercial purposes--as long as you credit me. Why haven't you responded to my comment? I am very, very bad at responding to comments, for various reasons: too lazy, too many, and recently, too busy. I do, however, read everything. EVERYTHING... and I'm very glad you find my stuff worthy to comment on. -manlytear How long have you been drawing? I didn't seriously start to draw until I was 12. I'm 19 now, so 7 years traditionally. Digitally, I started when I was 17. Do you ever draw girls? I DO, I SWEAR............ Why haven't you been finishing commissions? I was mostly computerless and inspiration-less over the summer, and right now my schoolwork is SLAUGHTERING me. I have class from 8AM to 5PM, in addition to endless two-day projects, models, essays, assignments, and deadlines to meet. Any free time I have in my schedule, I'd rather spend catching up on sleep or indulging myself with drawing something of my own. If you know you're on my list and you've changed your mind (given my inconsistent art style and the damn long wait), just hit me with a note. Are you accepting commissions/trades/requests? No/friends only. Where do you get your inspiration? Everything--but primarily music. Trailer/movie music in particular, like Two Steps From Hell or the Dark Knight soundtrack. Any advice? KEEP DRAWING. Don't be discouraged. We were all shitty once. Observe everyone else and the things around you, and try to address it in your own art. My architecture professors actually encourage us to steal each other's methods and ideas to better our own projects... so don't be afraid to apply that to art, too. FYI, that does NOT mean tracing. Don't COPY; rather, take an idea, examine it, and give it your own spin. |

Sometimes I draw and sometimes I write, but most of the time I try not to rip my hair out juggling everything I want to/need to do.
